Before the algopocalypse, X was THE place to build a brand.

But every day I see more and more people moving platforms, mostly to Linkedin.

And I see the logic, I really do… but they’re missing a trick.

Assuming your goal is to build a business, or at least an income from social media, you should be building an email list. The bigger the better.

Why? Distribution.

The more people seeing your ideas, the better. And how better to build your list than posting on multiple platforms.

When X added longform posts, it made crossposting even easier. No longer do you have to turn threads into carousels, you can straight up copy+paste your content to both platforms.

Now I’ll admit I’ve been a bit slow on the uptake here, but I recommend you don’t make the same mistake.

It doesn’t matter if your old boss is on Linkedin, or your friends from school that might make fun of you. Fuck em. Post your content to both platforms and grow twice as fast.

More distribution = more opportunities to make a sale. I’d call that a win.

So with that said, I’m going to be sharing my content on Linkedin as well. But at the start I’ll be posting new content that I’ve never put on X before.

If you want to check it out, here’s the link to my profile.
